Daft Punk est un groupe musical de musique électronique français, originaire de Paris. Composé de Thomas Bangalter et Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, le groupe est actif entre 1993 et 2021 et participe à la création et à la démocratisation du mouvement de musique électronique baptisé French touch French touch. Le duo fait partie des artistes français s'exportant le mieux à l'étranger et ce, depuis la sortie de leur premier véritable succès, ''Da Funk'', en 1995. Une des originalités de Daft Punk est la culture de leur notoriété d'artistes indépendants et sans visage, portant toujours en public des casques et des costumes. Ils s'inspirent sur ce point du film ''Phantom of the Paradise'' de Brian De Palma.Daft Punk sort son premier album intitulé ''Homework'' en 1997. Le second album, commercialisé en 2001, s'intitule ''Discovery (album de Daft Punk)|Discovery''.
